Love Bird Cards

These two cards were made using my Gelli Plate and the "Love Bird" stencil from iStencils.  I first laid down metallic acrylic and regular acrylic paint on the Gelli Plate. Next, I laid the stencil over the stencil, rubbed, and then lifted the paper (2nd card). Then I removed the stencil and laid another piece of paper over what was left on the plate to get what is called a "ghost" print (1st card).

More Christmas ATCs

I am not a big collage person, but since my muse left me about a month ago, I decided to use some Christmas die cuts my mom bought me and make some ATCs.  At least I'm doing something creative and it actually turned out to be fun.

Last night we went to the NEO Christmas tree lighting ceremony and that kind of inspired me to come home and do something artsy.

Be Merry Bear
Frosty Nutcracker

Just the right tree for me

Sugar Cookie Bear

Winter Wonder
I used art markers, permanent markers, glaze pens, diamond glitter fabric paint, Christmas diecuts,, scrapbooking paper, and washi tape to make these.

Day 80 - Firefly Tree

Trying my hand at working with acrylic paint and mica powders I created this firefly tree.  I'm not sure if your supposed to mix the mica powders with the paint or, do like I did her, throw them on top and swish them around.  Well, I do believe that is what art is all about; learning as you go!

This is Day 80's ATCs that I submitted in the 2010 Project ATC 365.

Rainbow Colors Swap

I have found something that I really enjoy doing and it is making Artist Trading Cards. These cards are 2.5" x 3.5" and are used for trading between artists. I really enjoy making these cards due to their size being small and so my hands don't suffer terribly when I make them. I tried doing bigger artwork, however, it really hurts my hands and I just am not able to at this point.

I found this great group of ATC artists and I am now on my 4th swap and I have traded with 2 other artist on a one-on-one basis. This particular swap was titled "Rainbow Colors" and the 3 cards I did are titled "Never Ending Rainbow", "Rainbow Tree", and "Rainbowville".

You can find more of my ATC cards on ATCs for All.

12 Days of Christmas

This one is titled: A Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Since the 25th is the start of the 12 Days of Christmas, so I've been told, I've been making either an ATC or regular piece of artwork and thought I would share them with you all.

This first one is an ATC I did using Acrylics. I, first, drew the image and then painted it using Acrylic paints, which is actually kind of a new thing for me.
