Etsy Treasuries I'm In

Yay, I've been back selling on Etsy for over a week now and have been included in two Etsy Treasuries.  The first one is The Frosty Blues of December, which showcased my Blue Millefiori Chip Bead Bangle Bracelet. The second one happened today and it is Orange Dreams., which showcased my Orange Millefiori Chip Bead Bangle Bracelet. They are both brilliant and beautiful treasuries and you definitely should go check them out.

While you're there, please stop by and check out my Etsy shop Ivonnardona's Creations.  I am offering FREE SHIPPING through the end of the year and a 10% discount on all items.  Just use coupon code XMASKISS10 to get 10% off your entire order.

02/25/2010 EtsyBEAD Street Team Treasury

I rarely get excited anymore about anything, however, today I received notification from a fellow etsyBEAD Street Team member that I was in a treasury.  (This treasury will expire in 22 hours) I've been taking a sabbatical from making jewelry due to total discouragement, but this may be just what I need to get motivated again.  If you don't have an Etsy shop I can honestly tell you that if you decide to open one up be prepared to work it like a full time job.

There are so much information out there on how to be successful selling on Etsy, but I just don't have the 8+ hours a day to dedicate to making something, taking pictures, posting the item on Etsy, and then promoting.  I am trying to do the "list" thing for each day and am using my "diary" like journal, which seems to be helping.

Anyhoo, make sure to stop by my shop and check it out!  Thank you for taking the time to stop here and read my blog; I really appreciate it.

Red & Black Team Bracelet Custom Order

So, here is my first custom order for a team bracelet, just not with the original idea. I am making this custom bracelet for someone who has 2 favorite teams; one with black and red and one with black and gold. I am finding out how hard it can be to do custom orders without knowing what material you are going to be using except for the special furnace glass beads I purchased specifically for this order. With Sterling Silver chain and wire, this bracelet will probably be the more expensive of the two bracelets. I like it, I just feel it might need something "else"!

A Giveaway from Beccas Bead Creations

I'm not one to promote other Etsy sellers unless I am familiar with them, however, this is an amazing opportunity to win a "FREE" Cabochon Bracelet from Becca's Bead Creations. I found this giveaway through the Making Lemonade blog and the bracelet caught my eye. I love the color and how well it goes with silver.

Becca's Bead Creations has some other beautifully designed and handmade pendants as well as gemstone necklaces.

You can find details for the giveaway at Making Lemonade as well as check out the bracelet that is being given away.

I truly believe in supporting fellow handmade designers, artists, beaders, and crafters. What a wonderful way to not only support them but to give someone something that is unique and well handcrafted.

Good luck to whoever wins, but I do hope it is me!!

Tranquil Denim Wash - Semiprecious Bead Challeng Entry

Here is my entry for the semiprecious bead challenge via Beading Daily. I included Blue Quartz for Meditation, Mother of Pearl to Enhance Intuition, Pearls for Faith, and Very Dark Lapis to Enhance Awareness and Intellect. Wish me luck.

Techniques Used: Stringing, simple wire loops, wrapped loops, wire wrapped beads, and wire spirals.

This is what I said about the piece for my entry: "This piece is classy and unique. The colors of the gemstones complement each other. The antique silver findings give it that rustic denim look. What I like most about this piece is that a lot of people wear jeans and this is the perfect accent, worn casual or to dress up."

I am really excited, I hope I win.

Bubbly Bangles!

I have been really busy over the past few weeks with learning new techniques in beading and starting school. I did manage to finish all of the bangles that I made and posted them Craft Juice to see how they do with votes. Stop by and vote for my pieces and check out some of the other amazing items artists have created.
