I found these plastic "jars" at the dollar tree and picked them up, because I knew if I didn't they wouldn't be around long. I went back tonight after making these and I was right; they didn't have anymore. Oh well, I picked up three different bags of chocolate candy hearts and used those to fill each one.

I stamped the "From: Cupid" sentiments, punched them out with my scalloped circle punch and used my Xyron to turn them into labels that I placed on the top of the lid.

My mom bought me some pretty Valentine ribbons and I used hot glue to secure them around the lids.

I used some red scrap paper that I cut to fit around the jar. I cut 2" x 3 1/2" pieces from The Paper Studio 6" x 6" Vintage Amour paper pad to wrap around each jar. To embellish each jar I used an Enogreeting 3D Sticker and some cute Valentine stickers I found at the Dollar Tree.

They were so much fun to make and I know the recipients of these jars are really going to love them.

Supplies I used:
Plastic jars from Dollar Tree
The Paper Studio 6x6 pad Vintage Amour
Red Linen Card Stock
Enogreeting 3D Stickers
Dollar Tree Valentine Stickers
Doodlebug Design Inc. Boutique Trim
Reverse Confetti Heart Filled Sentiments
Hot Glue
Glue Tape Gun
Xyron Sticker Maker
3 Bags of Chocolate Heart Candy
I'm having a paper craft party on Monday to try and raise money for my daughter's band trip in December. The band and color guard will be performing at the Alamo Bowl. These two gift buckets include Halloween type items including one paper and notepad set, mini note book, Hershey bar candy pack, and a bunch of candy and other Halloween items.

They turned out really cute and to add to the final touches I added a bat clip on the bow that came with the shrink bag. Of course, I have other individual Halloween items, but I'm super excited about how these turned out.

I'm even willing to take custom orders for the buckets.
Don't get me wrong I love to recycle just as much as the next person, but I have found that sometimes the recycled containers just don't hold up and then there is the whole cleaning it, drying it, and so on. So, this post is about some wonderful products that can be used to store your washi tape and are reasonably priced.

Cost: approx $25.00

This particular washi tape storage is what I first started out with and for a while it worked great. Then my stash of washi tape kept growing, so I had to find something that would store more tape. This is like a merry-go-round tape dispenser and I guess you could put the rolls of washi tape that you use the most on it and store the other rolls in a box, but I wanted to also be able to see what colors, patterns, etc. I had. Looking at the photo I realize now that the washi tape I started out with as a beginner was wide and is probably why I couldn't fit more than one roll in each slot.

Overall, this is a great tool for any beginner just starting out with washi tape. You can always get one of these and if you decide that you really like using washi tape and your collection grows you can always just keep the most used washi tape in this dispenser and have it sit on your desk. I'm so glad that I kept mine, as I just realized what an awesome idea that would be.

Cost: $22.80

This particular storage box is handmade and sells in Foryoubest's Etsy shop. It appears to hold a lot of rolls of washi tape and is another fine example of how to store your tape. They also have some other options like a wooden box with a lid, a plastic container with a lid, etc. When figuring out what type of storage you want for your washi tape there are a number of things to think about. Like how big is your crafting space, do you want it hanging on the wall, can you add to it later as your collection grows, and what are you willing to spend? That last one is always an important factor for me, as I do not want to pay high dollar for something that I may not end up using.

CraftStack™ Classic Washi Tape Organizer

Cost: $39.99 (On sale or with a coupon $23.99)

You can purchase this one at Michaels at the regular price of $39.99 or you can use your 40% off coupon and get it for $23.99, which is the current selling price. I did purchase this organizer and it holds a ton of tape (I've outgrown mine already) and I love how the drawers slide out and down, so I can look at the vast array of colors and designs.

If you are so inclined to make your own washi tape storage there is a huge selection of tutorials and guides over on Pinterest. I do not personally have time to make anything, but more power to those that can.
I've been following Tracy with GiftBasketAppeal over on her YouTube channel and she used napkins to make some tags and I was like, "oh yeah I have a pile of napkins just sitting here that I've never used. I should make some cards."

I'm not going to post the instructions, because Tracy does such a great job of walking you through how to do this. You can check out her Teacup Napkin video for instructions on what to do.

These two cards were made on A2 size cards. I used Christmas paper from two different Christmas paper pads, ribbon, embossing powder, and napkins. I used my new bow maker to make the paper bow on the red ornament card.

Supplies I used:
The Paper Studio 6x6 Pad - Rustic Noel
The Paper Studio 8.5x11 Pad - Winter Wonderland
Christmas Napkins
Modge Podge
Ribbon
Stickles - Diamond
Gold Glitter Glue
Washi Tape
Christmas Sentiments

I made this card and tag box after watching a tutorial posted by MayMay Made It Crafts! on Youtube and just love making these. This it the third box I’ve made and probably my favorite so far. I used the For the Love of Tea! paper pack from Fabscraps and love the soft, but elegant look and feel of the paper. This particular box is for my Aunt who loves teacups. I thought it was the perfect gift for when she comes to visit my mom in September.

The paper can be found here!

There is a teacup “box” included in the paper pack, which I used on the outside of the box. I cut the part that connects the two tea pots and then glued them together to help make them a little more durable. I then glued it to the front of the box and embellished with a gold bow that I made and flowers.

Note to self on box like this: make sure to put the focal point on the backside of the box, not the front. When the box opens the flowers get in the way, so I had to open it with it slightly hanging off my craft desk.

I joined this swap in one of my Facebook groups and we had to send our partner 10 different items showing something about our self that the other person may not know. I thought it was going to be really difficult to come up with 10 things, but it wasn't, and I actually came up with 11. To put all of these goodies together to send to my partner I created a bag and loaded it with everything.

The list that I came up with was the following:
1. I used to make jewelry. I included a piece I had made years ago.
2. I love the night (especially the moon).
3. I love butterflies.
4. I love ice cream. My favorite flavor is white chocolate macadamia.
5. I am a Virgo in every sense of the word.
6. My favorite color is purple.
7. My best friend is my dog "Stewart Little".
8. My favorite style of anything is BOHO.
9. I am a coffee addict.
10. My favorite holiday is Halloween.
11. My favorite season is Fall.

I'm not going to go into detail how I made each and every item as I'm sure there is a YouTube tutorial on most of it. Some of the items were bought pre-made, so that made life much simpler. I hope my swap partner enjoys it.

I posted a tutorial on a Mini Business Card holder earlier, but I wanted to make on that was more of a box with a "normal" lid. So, sat down and made this box and really liked how it turned out. There is no Velcro and it closes like a regular box with a flap. I'm really liking how this one turned out. I was able to add 12 cards to this box, which is more than the other box would hold.
I made this card using the Uniquely Unity August Stamp and Sentiment Kit from Unity Stamp Co. I love these little owls.

First, I stamped the owl image on watercolor paper and then colored it in with Peerless Watercolors. I tried the watercolor brush pens I have, but felt the Peerless watercolors were more vibrant. I used Stickle Stardust on the moon and little stars. It really glitters in the light, but sadly my phone camera did not take a great picture. I used vellum as the base and then added a brown piece of card stock to cover the "tape" that was showing through the vellum.

I used Sissix circle dies to cut out the owl image and the glitter card stock. I used Darice Embossing Essential dies for the sentiment and sentiment base. Once the card was all put together I added little hearts and dots with a Gold Glitter gel pen. For a final touch I added red acrylic hearts I bought at The Dollar Store back in February. I also gave each little owl a red acrylic heart to help the hearts stand out a bit more.
I've been inspired by Amber (lyriclover810) over at YouTube. I watch her channel faithfully, as she has a ton of ideas for things to make for a craft fair and she is just simply awesome. She makes these cute little mini loaded bags, which were a perfect gift to make for a special friend of mine and possibly make some to sell. I picked up some bags, tags, and dimensional stickers at the local Dollar Tree. Everything else I included in the bag I either made or already had.

These two cards were made using my Gelli Plate and the "Love Bird" stencil from iStencils. I first laid down metallic acrylic and regular acrylic paint on the Gelli Plate. Next, I laid the stencil over the stencil, rubbed, and then lifted the paper (2nd card). Then I removed the stencil and laid another piece of paper over what was left on the plate to get what is called a "ghost" print (1st card).

For the ghost print I used a black thin line pen to outline certain parts of the tree, heart, and bird. Then I laid the square on a black piece of card stock. I cut a 2" strip of of The Paper Studio "Gifts of Gold Foil" swirl paper and layered that on a black piece of card stock. I laid the 2" strip on the front of the 6" x 6" card and then laid the square with the bird image on top of that, making sure to center all of the pieces.

For the actual stenciled print, I outlined the leaves in a green metallic gel pen, the tree in a gold metallic gel pen, and placed a red acrylic heart on the tree. I used glitter card stock for the borders on the top and bottom. I layered the main piece to a piece of brown linen card stock and then mounted to a light tan colored card base.

Overall, I love these cards. I sat on the stencil one for a few days before deciding how I wanted to color and mount it, but am happy with the end result.
I love, love Unity Stamp Co., they have the greatest stamps. This particular set is called "Fairy Dust" and while I don't normally do cutesy, I really wanted this one as I LOVE fairies.

I used my new Tim Holtz Stamping Platform and am so in love with it. I was really bummed when I accidentally dropped the fairy stamp on the card stock, so one of the fairies is not like the other. I went ahead and used it, but am hoping that to the untrained eye no one will notice. LOL

These cards are some of the simplest cards I've made, as I've never been a fan of white space, but I do love how they turned out.

I made these cute little tea pocket favors for my swap partner from the Rubbermoon moonmail club. The stamp used is from the July moonmail monthly club subscription. I LOVE the tutorials from lyriclover810 over at Youtube. I followed her Tea Bag Pocket Favor tutorial for making these, so need for me to post one here.

Supplies used:
<span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "roboto" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; white-space: pre-wrap;">12x12 double-sided paper
Sissix Square Scalloped Frame Die
Ribbon
Adhesive Tape Gun
Cutter
Scissors
Rubbermoon July Club Stamp
Gold Gel Pen
Prisma Colored Pencils
Chamomile Tea Bags

I pretty much followed lyriclover810's tutorial video to make these. The only thing I did differently is I stamped images on the white smaller scalloped frame and then colored them in with Prismacolor pencils. I used the gold gel pen to add accents.
I bought four packages of these mini calendar pads from Rubbermoon and couldn't wait to use them. They come in a pack of 6. This is the first of many "tag" calendars I plan on making. The tag is from Unity Stamp Co. and they have a variety of sizes and colors to chose from.
Inspired by the July swap in the Rubbermoon Mail Club group. The swap included making mini business cards, otherwise known as "Moo" cards. These cards are 1 1/8" x 2 3/4", which are half the size of a regular business card. While they were a challenge to make I still had fun. Each card is unique and I can't wait for my swap partner to receive the ones I made. I knew that I didn't want to just send them loosely and decided that I would try and make a box that would hold all six of these mini art cards. It took me a couple of tries, but I finally came up with something that works great and can be decorated in a number of ways.

When my swap partner receives her package I will be posting the art cards as well. So stay tuned.

Supplies I used:

3 5/8" x 3 7/8" Card Stock
Score board
Cutting board
Adhesive tape
Glue
5/8" Velcro Circle
Scissors
Decorative flower

The instructions are listed on each picture. I don't have a way to make a video, so I hope I explained it well enough for you to understand. If you chose to make one, just remember to have fun!
I really like how these two different cards turned out. I'm learning to use the Mirror Image Stamping Tool by Unity Stamp Co. and, needless to say, still have a lot more to learn. Oh, I received my Tim Holtz Stamp platform and, for the life of me, cant' figure out how I ever lived without it. I thought it was way cheaper than another stamp platform and am so in love with it. I'm not sure if I'll ever use another stamp block again.
Twine
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Gathered Twigs and Vintage Photo

I started out by stamping the flower image on a white piece of cardstock. Since I was just trying out my new stamp platform there really was no rhyme or reason for how I stamped, but I think it turned out marvelous.

Next I stamped the left edge with the butterflies from the July 2017 SMAK kit and then used the Mirror Image Stamping Tool to stamp the butterflies on the right. After that I stamped the "I have this desire to explore" stamp in the upper left hand corner.

I used Tim Holtz distress inks listed above and went around each of the outer edges. Then I wrapped some twine around three times, because you know that is the magic number, and tied a bow.

I glued some silk flowers, I bought two months ago and have been dying to use, to the bottom right corner of each one.

Finally, I used my tape gun and adhered one to one piece of magenta card stock and used circle pop dots to adhere the other one. I like the look of the one with the pop up dots better. By the way, I picked up a package of circle adhesive at the dollar store. Every time I go in there I buy them out because you never know if they'll have them again.

I finished off the card by taking a Gold Gel pen to add random dots within the butterflies and to the "i"s in the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting,
I haven't been on the site in two years. I recently joined a FaceBook group that trades ATCs and signed up for StencilGirl's monthly stencil club. The point? you might ask is that I never really thought I could use stencils. I mean I'm just learning how to "layer" paint. Well, I did it, I went and bought me six more stencils and created the following ATCs. Hah, layering isn't so bad. I really liked how they turned out. I even picked up my copy of Drawing Lab For Mixed-Media Artists by Carla Sonheim and drew the characters for these cards. As I haven't drawn in over two years it was kind of awkward, but as Carla points out in her book Steven Pressfield states in his book titled The War of Art "There is no such thing as a fearless warrior or a dread-free artist."
These are all ATC size, which is 2.5" x 3.5", and created on Bristol paper. I rolled paint for the background, dabbed paint through stencils, tore vintage book pages, and colored in each image. I also used stamps, found words in print, and sticker words for the phrases. Lastly, as I always do, I used my ink pads to create a soft border around each one.

My final point is this: Don't be afraid to try something new and uncomfortable. You can't succeed if you never try.

When I saw her video I had to make some. I love recycling mailers, cereal boxes, etc. so this was right up my alley. I love her details and am going to have to get some of the metallic paint pens; I tried using Metallic Permanent Markers, but did not get the same effect. I'm not going to bore you with the details on how to make these journals as Gwen does a fantastic job of explaining it.

What I did differently to make them my own:

1. Collaged paper with a Matte Gel Medium.
2. Used six strands of Embroidery Floss to hold the pages in place and to secure the journal closed with the button.
3. The Blue Journal has lots of dots. I used a White Sharpie Paint Pen and the end of a paint brush to make all of those dots.
4. I used large buttons instead of twine. I poked two holes and secured the buttons with the embroidery floss. The blue journal button securing was a little more involved as the button has a loop and not holes.

The stencils used are unique to the Monthly StencilGirl Club members, so you can't purchase them unless you are a member. However, that doesn't mean you can't use some of the awesome stencils they have at StencilGirl Products.

I forgot how much fun making handmade cards was until I joined an online group that sends cards for Random Acts of Mail, or I like to say Random Acts of Kindness. I used Tim Holtz Distressed Mini Ink Pads Antique Linen and Spiced Marmalade for the background layering one over the other. I really like the effect these inks have on paper. I stamped "Happy Halloween" in orange and randomly outlined it with my Black Micron Pen. Next I used my Rubbermoon Exclusive stars stamp and stamped each background in the center. The pumpkins are stamped on white Bristol paper and painted in with acrylic ink and a white gel pen. These are Halloween stamps I picked up from Michael's in their dollar section a few years back. I used 3D circles for mounting the pumpkins on the background. I cut out some Halloween colored paper and adhered the main image to the paper. I bought some Halloween colored ribbons and self adhesive gems to add some classy touches to each card.

One of these cards has already gone out to a special lady, but I'm not saying who or which one.
This is a Halloween card I made for my mom. Every year she always sends everyone a card; every season. I'm not good at this kind of thing, but this year I'm making her homemade cards for the holidays with my new found love for stamping and making cards.

I started out with Bristol paper for the main page and used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks for the Background colors; Antique Linen and Spiced Marmalade. I then used the "Boo to You" stamp, which I bought from Michael's like umpteen million years ago, for the greeting. Really you can use any saying or sentiment you'd like. The main stamp comes from Rubbermoon and it is the Scary Neighbors stamp.

Next is very important because I learned a lesson here. I used an archival pigment ink and applied heat to dry it faster, then I took my VersaMarker and ran over the windows. My intention was to just emboss the openings in Gold embossing powder. Guess what? When I poured the embossing powder over the stamped area it took it, so the entire Scary Neighbors stamp had to be embossed. No worries though; I used a 3D Yellow Gel Pen for the openings and everything worked out fine.

I adhered the main image page to a piece of black cardstock and stuck that to the white card. Finally, I cut strips from some Halloween paper I have left from the years of scrapbooking and glued that down to each side, trimming the excess off when I was finished. The last element I added by drawing them in was the bats and the ghost.

Brenna was an amazing artist and wonderfully bright person. She was taken at a young adult age, but she lived and loved without measure. My cousin is like a sister to me and I just wanted her to know how special she is to me.

I used Bristol paper and stamped the "friendship" image on it. I colored it in with acrylic paint and embossed the tiny dots and the purple ribbons.

I outlined the image in 3D gel pen and used washi tape to accent the actual card. It's simple, but my cousin is a simple person, so I think she will like it.

I received some awesome stamps in my September/October Rubbermoon Moonmail package and I love them. Yesterday I sat down with my goodies and made this picture. I'm not sure what I will do with it yet. Maybe a card, maybe something special for someone. I've never used laser cut images before, so this was a real treat from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

I washed the watercolor paper and then painted it rainbow colors. Then I stamped the background with the special moonmail stamps and colored in with permanent markers. I used a silver permanent marker for the brush and paint lids. I accented with a white gel pen. For the square, I rolled white acrylic paint over it and then splattered the square with red acrylic paint using a toothbrush. Then I outlined the square in black permanent marker and added white dots. I colored the laser cut images with acrylic paint and used a q-tip to dab on rainbow colors of acrylic paint to give it that "pallete being used look". Once everything was done I adhered the laser cuts to the square, the square to the background, and then finally put it all on a yellow piece of cardstock. I used my corner rounding punch to give the corners that rounded look.

I think it was sometime in November or December I received a blank calendar to fill with my own pictures. Well, it's September and I only have two more months to fill before my calendar is complete.

This is the one I did tonight for October and I really think it turned out cute. I used watercolor paper and painted the background with Peerless Water Colors, Tim Holz Distressed Ink, and his new Distressed Crayons. The black paper in the corners came in my August Moonmail package; it was an iridescent color, but I painted with black acrylic paint. The ghost stamp is from Rubbermoon.Com. The Halloween stickers are leftovers from my scrapbooking days.
